Operations department

Our fleet is chartered by leading players in the shipping industry. Our operating department provides the interface between charterers, brokers, agents and ship commands and ensures smooth daily operation and use of the ships.

All charter and post fixture matters are handled by the operations department, whose top priority is to ensure customer satisfaction for our charter customers. This includes:

  • Negotiating charter party terms in close collaboration with the owners exclusive broker
  • Provide the masters on board with the necessary travel instructions
  • Monitoring and billing of rental payments and processing P&I and FD&D claims
  • Monitoring of ship performance in close cooperation with our technical management departmentShips that are not subject to a time charter or carry out positioning trips are subject to the full operational control of our operations department.

Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (QHSE)

Our business success depends on our ability to continuously improve the quality of our services while protecting people and the environment. The focus must be on ensuring human health, operational safety and last but not least environmental protection.

To achieve this, our QHSE system is based on the implementation of the following principles:

  • All employees must pay attention to the quality of our services as well as safety and environmental protection issues as part of their duties.

  • We continuously evaluate all identified risks for a ship, its personnel and the environment and determine suitable protective measures.
  • We continuously monitor, evaluate and improve our QHSE performance by defining operational standards, training, reviews and audits.
  • We are fully prepared to respond to any QHSE emergency.
  • We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact by preventing and controlling pollution, using natural resources efficiently, and reducing and recycling waste.
  • We communicate openly with interested parties about our QHSE guidelines, programs and services.

Our QHSE system meets, but is not limited to, the requirements of the ISM Code, STCW Code and MLC 2006. A ship safety plan addresses the requirements of the ISPS Code.
